Fionn Regan in session

Irish songwriter Fionn Regan recorded live in session at the Stendhal Festival, 2025.

Bray singer-songwriter Fionn Regan released his masterful debut album 鈥淭he End of History鈥� in 2006 and was immediately nominated for the Mercury Music Prize. Whether it is the intricate acoustic folk of that record or the upbeat electric blues of the follow-up 鈥淭he Shadow of an Empire鈥� or, indeed, the sun-dappled atmospherics of his 7th, and most recent album, 鈥淥 Avalanche鈥�, his intuitive songwriting is poetic, cinematic and utterly compelling. Following a magnificent set on the Stevie Martin Stage at Stendhal, he performed two tracks from 鈥淥 Avalanche鈥� live in session and had a chat with Stephen.
