Ohcejohka - Saxophone, Joik and Birds
The saxophonist Pauli Lyytinen and his friend the writer Niillas Holmberg improvise on a lake and among the birds of northern Finland.
Saxophonist Pauli Lyytinen travels to S谩pmi, to Ohcejohka (Utsjoki), the northernmost municipality of Finland and the European Union, to visit his friend, writer鈥搈usician Niillas Holmberg. The two artists go rowing in the river, improvise under the S谩mi bridge, and make music with birds. Along the way, with researcher Karoliina Lummaa, they confront questions of understanding: do the birds understand them鈥攐r do they understand the birds? And does it even matter?
