Episode 4

With Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro, musical genius Jacob Collier, Irish five-piece Just Mustard, R&B artist kwn, singer-songwriter James Morrison and chatting to Justin Currie.

Jools welcomes Scottish rockers Biffy Clyro, who perform a couple of songs from their number one album Futique, which arrived after their longest break apart from each other since forming and which saw the band grappling with what their future may look like.

London-born composer, multi-instrumentalist and musical genius Jacob Collier has won multiple Grammys for his previous five albums and performs two songs from his album The Light for Days, which centres around the acoustic guitar. Jools also chats to Jacob about his success, and together they share a moment at the piano.

From Dundalk, Ireland, five-piece band Just Mustard make their debut on the show with a performance of their track ENDLESS DEATHLESS, which showcases their experimental blend of dream-pop and post-punk and is taken from their third album, WE WERE JUST HERE.

Also making her debut is East London R&B artist kwn, who performs ‘stand on it’ from her latest project ‘with all due respect’, which features ‘jazzy keys and gospel harmonies’.

Completing the musical line-up is singer-songwriter and guitarist James Morrison, who performs the title track of his album Fight Another Day, a record born of difficult times and heavy emotions but one that, ultimately, leans into the light, joy and hope.

Jools also chats to Del Amitri frontman Justin Currie about his book The Tremolo Diaries: Life on the Road and Other Diseases, which chronicles the Scottish artist’s time touring and living with his Parkinson’s diagnosis.
