In this episode, Jamz explores the music of the Amazon, tracing how the rainforest's rhythms, chants, and atmospheres have shaped both traditional and contemporary sounds across Latin America. From the early days of psychedelic cumbia to today鈥檚 experiments in electronic fusion, the episode reveals how the jungle continues to inspire artists to connect nature, ancestry, and technology.

We journey from the Peruvian Amazon to Brazil, uncovering how music born of the forest 鈥� its instruments, rituals, and energy 鈥� has evolved into new sonic languages. Along the way, we hear how artists are reimagining the Amazon鈥檚 pulse for global audiences while maintaining its cultural roots.

Featuring voices from across this rich and evolving scene, the episode features Rafael Pereira of Dengue Dengue Dengue, the Peruvian electronic duo fusing Amazonian cumbia and psychedelia with global bass; Percy Flores Navarro of Wayku, whose project on Buh Records revives and energises the pandilla rhythm of the jungle; and Brazilian rapper, poet, and activist Ka锚 Guajajara, who discusses the power of Indigenous identity, resistance, and reclaiming space through music.
