Episode 2
David Olusoga reveals how the loss of the American colonies led to the colonisation of Australia and how the Indian indenture system was established.
David Olusoga reveals how the movement of people around the empire – both voluntary and involuntary – continues to shape today's world.
The great migrations of the last 300 years were driven by the British Empire. Enslaved Africans were trafficked across the Atlantic to British colonies.
