These anthems are named after the Duke of Chandos who commissioned them when Handel was the composer in residence at Cannons, his palace in Middlesex. The German ensemble and soloists perform these relatively unknown works in the Church of Saint-Michel in Fribourg, Switzerland. Jonathan Swain presents.
