Marc Collin of Nouvelle Vague shares a favourite vinyl record in a special edition focusing on 1980 and packed with 'classic trax鈥� from that great year in music - 45 years ago!

This week on Grant Stott鈥檚 Vinyl Collective, acclaimed French musician, film music composer and record producer Marc Collin, best known for co-founding the Jazzy Bossa-Nova project Nouvelle Vague, shares his favourite vinyl record in a special edition of the show: Now That鈥檚 What I Call 1980!

It's an edition packed with 鈥榗lassic trax鈥�, focusing on that great year in music 鈥� 45 years ago.

What did you buy, who did you go to see鈥� who with?

Grant will have a Tartan Special Double-Top on Side 2 of the show, plus a countdown of the top ten best-selling albums of 1980.

He鈥檒l also have another cracking Into the Groove 12鈥� and a Magnificent 7".

All that and instantly recognisable songs from some of the biggest stars of the 80s, including: The Jam, Diana Ross, Simple Minds, Billy Joel, Olivia Newton-John, Elvis Costello, The Police, David Bowie and more.

It鈥檚 two hours of new and classic cuts all played from 7", 12" and vinyl LPs.
