Comedian Emmanuel Sonubi talks about his very personal stand-up show which is coming to Aberdeen next month. Life After Near Death explores his life after surviving heart failure, facing the cause of the trauma, and the strange and funny ways we all find to keep going when life gets hard.

Legendary music venue the Barrowland Ballroom opened in 1934 and the likes of David Bowie, Amy Winehouse, Oasis, the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Britney Spears, Nirvana, Blondie, Lulu and U2 have all graced the stage of the East End of Glasgow venue. Writer Alison Irvine discusses her new book 'Barrowland: The Inside Story of Glasgow鈥檚 Beloved Ballroom'.
