Kenya

Episode 7 of 7

Jonny Dymond and a panel of Kenya's leading figures debate questions from an audience in Nairobi.

A fast-growing economy, nearly all its energy from renewables and a tech sector that's one of the biggest in Africa - Kenya seems to have many of the conditions for a bright future, but deep challenges remain.

Nearly half of young adults are unemployed, and earlier this year youth protests rocked the government and led to multiple deaths on the street. Corruption, crime and police brutality are big issues as Jonny Dymond presents a public debate with some of the country's leading figures answering questions from a Nairobi audience.

The panel:

Musalia Mudavadi, prime cabinet secretary of Kenya and cabinet secretary of foreign and diaspora affairs.

Martha Karua, Presidential candidate and former minister of justice.

Zaha Indimuli, human rights campaigner and national advocacy lead, End Femicide KE.

Canon Evans Omollo, provost of All Saints Cathedral, Nairobi.
