Pooh Bear

On the day of Pooh's 100th birthday, Frank Cottrell-Boyce talks with children's writers Nick Butterworth and Julia Donaldson about ways in which they identify with Pooh Bear.

To celebrate Winnie-the-Pooh鈥檚 100th anniversary, Children's Laureate Frank Cottrell-Boyce is asking some the UK's most celebrated children鈥檚 writers who they most identify with in A A Milne鈥檚 timeless tales from the Hundred Acre Wood.

Pooh Bear first appeared in print in a story commissioned by London's Evening News for Christmas Eve 1925.

To mark the day of Pooh's 100th birthday, Frank Cottrell-Boyce talks with Nick Butterworth, best known for his Percy the Park Keeper series, and Julia Donaldson, who has written so many books for children but is perhaps best known for The Gruffalo, about ways in which they identify with Pooh Bear.
