Female boxers Charan Kaur Dhesi and Malaika Atique have their sights firmly set on making their mark in the ring. Charan is Britain鈥檚 first female Sikh professional boxer. Malaika is a young heavyweight hoping to turn professional and become Britain鈥檚 first Pakistani female champion. Both have faced stereotypes, limited representation and other challenges from stepping into a space where they weren鈥檛 always expected.

Speaking to Monika Plaha, Charan and Malaika talk about the barriers they鈥檝e faced, the visibility they lacked growing up, and what it means to show younger girls that boxing can be for them too.
