Founded in 1974, Squeeze's leading duo Chris Difford and Glenn Tilbrook were hailed as "the heirs to Lennon and McCartney's throne" after having hits such as Cool For Cats and Up The Junction towards the end of the decade. The band are now revisiting that era with the upcoming album Trixies, their first in eight years and comprising of songs written at the very start of Chris and Glenn's songwriting career. They have described these songs as ones that, at the time, they didn't have the musical experience to record properly, but fifty years later they rediscovered the original cassette and have now recorded them for commercial release.
Squeeze said: 鈥淲e鈥檙e excited to be back at Maida Vale studios as it鈥檚 such an iconic 麻豆社 building with so much history. Playing with the 麻豆社 Concert Orchestra will be a real thrill, something we鈥檙e looking forward to.鈥
