How can we navigate the noise around immune health?

Chris and Xand examine what the biology of the immune system, how they differ from each other, what can go wrong, and which myths about immune health need busting.

Welcome to What鈥檚 Up Docs?, the podcast where doctors and identical twins Chris and Xand van Tulleken cut through the confusion around every aspect of our health and wellbeing.

In this episode, Chris and Xand dive into immune health. How does the immune system work? What defines a well-functioning immune system? Is any one immune system better than another? What can go wrong with the immune system? They also examine the myths surrounding immune health, including whether vitamin C actually prevents a cold, and discuss the science behind figuring out our immune systems and what impacts them.

Joining them to discuss this is Prof Dan David, Head of Life Sciences and Professor of Immunology at Imperial College London and author of a new book on immune health, Self-Defence - a myth-busting guide to immune health.
