Cameron wants his dad to grow up and be more of a father figure to him. Can time in the wild help them reconnect – and put an end to Mark’s silly behaviour?

Twenty-eight-year-old Cameron wants his dad to stop acting like a child and be more of a father figure to him.

Dad, Mark, has a history of getting drunk on nights out and holidays, wearing his comedy English breakfast face mask in shops and supermarkets, and generally embarrassing Cameron, who has pleaded with him on many occasions to grow up. On the flip side, Mark says his son can be self-centred, and he doesn’t always feel able to confide in him.

Bear sets the pair a water-collecting task to help them discover the power of teamwork – if they can stop bickering. Then, they’re tasked with preparing pheasant on the campfire for dinner.

In a conversation with psychologist Tara, Cam reveals that his dad’s unwillingness to take his feelings into consideration feels like a rejection. Mark confides that he hasn’t always been able to open up to Cameron – even concealing a recent health scare.

The pair take on an epic rescue mission in the dramatic landscape of a north Wales quarry. The only way to succeed is if they learn to pull together, communicate and bond as father and son.
