New historical drama, The Testament of Ann Lee, brings to life the extraordinary story of Ann Lee — the visionary Shaker founder who claimed to embody Christ’s second coming and went on to build one of 18th‑century America’s most radical religious communities. Director Mona Fastvold and actor Amanda Seyfried, who stars as Ann Lee, explore faith, persecution, and her legacy with Reporter Catrina Rose.

Zara also speaks with Dunblane raised documentary maker Anna Hall about her powerful new Channel 4 documentary, The Dunblane Tapes, three decades after the UK’s deadliest mass shooting. Using video footage from one of the bereaved parents, Anna builds a picture of a community coming together to reverse the law on handgun ownership in the UK.

This week’s This Spiritual Life guest is Emmy‑award‑winning talk show host, movie star, and comedian Rosie O’Donnell. Known for iconic roles in Sleepless in Seattle and A League of Their Own, Rosie now leads a quieter life focused on family in her new home in Ireland — a journey she explores in her one‑woman show Common Knowledge, coming to Glasgow’s Kings Theatre later this month.

And Zara's faith forum panel this week is the writer Rodge Glass, who grew up in the Jewish faith; Zara Mohammed, Pakistani‑Scottish faith leader and former Secretary General of the Muslim Council of Britain; and Ruth Weller, a Christian digital content creator.

They unpack the week’s headlines —including the ongoing BAFTA row and the debate around apologies - both public and private . As the Â鶹Éç kicks off their AI unpacked week, the panel discuss faith and spirituality to a backdrop of AI - can they ever get along? And, with the war in Ukraine entering its fourth year, they also reflect on how to keep distant conflicts in mind when they feel far from home.
