Soweto Kinch is back with more of the best in jazz and welcomes Thai drummer and producer Salin as his 4/4 guest for this week.

Soweto鈥檚 guest this week is the formidable Thailand-born, Canada-based drummer and producer Salin. Her music draws influence from Northeast Thailand and from West African 70s psychedelia, creating a unique sound that Salin calls 鈥淎fro Thai Funk鈥�.

From Monday to Thursday, Salin is taking us round her record collection, sharing some of the albums that have influenced her. Kicking off her week, Salin chooses a record by an American duo known for their genre transcending sound.

Also in the programme, there is music from Dave Adewumi, Immanuel Wilkins, and Women In Jazz with Alina Bzhezhinska.

鈥楻ound Midnight is presented by award-winning saxophonist Soweto Kinch. This weekday late-night show celebrates the thriving UK jazz scene and spotlights the best new music alongside incredible acts from past decades.
