In the final programme in the series Angus Mackay is joined by close friend Finlay Macleod from Scalpay for the final fishing trip of the season. With summer fading the environment looks very different as the purple heather really comes to the fore. Tracked by the golden eagle they sail north to the hamlet of Calbost to take advantage of the shelter offered by its bay on a less than optimal day. As they fish in the bay they ponder the extremes of the sea; it’s matchless beauty and its moral danger.
Anns a’ phrògram mu dheireadh san t-sreath, tha Fionnlagh MacLeòid à Sgalpaigh, còmhla ri Aonghas airson an turas iasgaich mu dheireadh den t-seusan. Leis an samhradh a’ tighinn gu crìoch, tha an à rainneachd a’ coimhead gu math eadar-dhealaichte, ‘s am fraoch purpaidh a’ tighinn am follais. Air an leantainn le iolaire-bhuidhe, seòlaidh iad gu tuath, gu Calbost gus beagan fasgadh fhaighinn sa bhà gh, air latha meadhanach grod. Fhad ’s a tha iad ag iasgach, tha iad a’ meòrachadh air an dà chuid cunnart agus bòidhchead na mara.
