Legendary Irish singer Moya Brennan died this week at the age of 73. Moya鈥檚 impact on Irish music was seismic. Along with Clannad, she helped to shape a new sound world for Irish music, one which saw the adaptation of Irish traditional song blended with haunting, tightly layered Beach Boys-esque harmonies, electronics and the Irish language. Her voice was it鈥檚 signature sound. The result was music that felt intensely visual and evoked the landscapes of Co Donegal.
