Upbeat Adam talks about his plans for Home Farm now he鈥檚 secure in the knowledge he鈥檒l be taking over. Ian鈥檚 delighted for him, but rushes to get Xander ready for school.
Helen and Kirsty compare notes on Dane and Erik, before Alice appears. Kirsty asks about Rex, who鈥檚 messaged her saying he鈥檚 not well. Alice is unsympathetic. Later, Helen tells Kirsty she doesn鈥檛 want Dane to move into the new house. She compares their relationship lightly to Kirsty and Erik鈥檚, before declaring she needs to finish with Dane. Kirsty was about to say more about her and Erik but leaves it.
Adam checks in with Brian at the farm, wondering if he鈥檚 made an appointment with his solicitor yet. Brian won鈥檛 be rushed though, mocking Adam鈥檚 ambition, which makes Adam question Brian鈥檚 intentions. Brian reacts skeptically to Adam鈥檚 ideas for diversification, talking instead about sticking to long-term plans, then telling Adam he may have spoken too soon about handing the farm over. When Adam pushes the issue Brian stuns him, spelling out that he鈥檚 changed his mind and refuses to commit to Adam over and above Ruairi and his sisters.
Alice tells Ian about Rex鈥檚 drunken antics and how he hasn鈥檛 stopped apologising since. Rex has pledged to give up drink, but Alice doesn鈥檛 want him overreacting and making a huge issue of it. Adam comes in and fulminates against Brian for reneging on their agreement, only just managing to cover in front of Alice what the terms of that agreement were. For Adam, the situation is unsustainable and something鈥檚 got to give.
