A man who raped a Sikh woman in a religiously aggravated attack has been jailed for life. John Ashby, who carried out the attack, mistakenly thought the victim was Muslim, subjecting her to racist abuse. The judge sentencing him described him as "a deeply unpleasant racist and Islamophobe." Tell MAMA, the group that records anti-Muslim incidents, reveal that other women have reported abuse in which they were threatened with sexual violence.
