Scottish Chamber Orchestra and Chorus

From Edinburgh鈥檚 Usher Hall, the Scottish Chamber Orchestra conducted by Riccardo Minasi plays Mozart鈥檚 Requiem and Haydn鈥檚 鈥楳ass In Time of War鈥�.

Vocal soloists and choral forces join the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and conductor Riccardo Minasi for two compelling classical works.
As Haydn composed a mass for his royal patrons, Austria prepared to defend itself against Napoleon鈥檚 military advances. The bombardment seeped into Haydn鈥檚 music and the work鈥檚 title, 鈥楳ass in Time of War鈥�. Following Haydn鈥檚 death, it was the Requiem by his late friend Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart that was chosen to be played at the state memorial.
