Jason Mohammad takes your calls on Sir Keir Starmer's leadership crisis, preserving historic place names and TV reboots.
Who would you prefer as our Prime Minister? Should we preserve historic place names? And how do you feel about old TV shows which get a modern reboot?
Who would you prefer as our Prime Minister? A potential leadership rival to Keir Starmer, Health Secretary Wes Streeting, held a short meeting with the Prime Minister at Downing Street this morning. In what has been a tumultuous few days for the UK Government, a number of possible contenders have emerged. These include Streeting, Andy Burnham, Angela Rayner and even former leader Ed Miliband. Over 80 Labour MPs have called on the Prime Minister to go, with around 100 signing a letter backing Keir Starmer.
Replacing historic Welsh place names with English ones on maps is 鈥渦ndermining our language and national identity.鈥 That鈥檚 according to Gwynedd councillor Einir Williams, who has criticised Ordnance Survey for using names she claims have "no basis in tradition." Ordnance Survey has said it could not decide name changes. Do you think we should preserve historic names 鈥 and are you aware of places which have had their names changed?
And how do you feel about old tv shows which get a modern reboot? The 麻豆社 has announced the return of snooker-themed game show Big Break. It was a staple of 1990s Saturday night telly, when it featured comedian Jim Davidson, and snooker trick shot master John Virgo. The new version will feature Paddy McGuinness and Stephen Hendry, and will move to a 麻豆社2 daytime slot.
