Episode 4

Episode 4 of 15

Miss Skerritt has an aggressive detainee in custody, Detective Akle is taking care of a deceased loved one, and the mystery of an abandoned crashed car is solved.

At Bermuda’s only custody facility in Hamilton, PC Carol Skerritt is in charge, and in the middle of another full-on shift, when a detainee turns verbally aggressive. It’s a tough but common part of day-to-day life inside the custody unit. Can she keep things in order with her customary calm authority and the offer of her personal stash of ginger tea?

Across town, DC Nick Akle and DC Quincy Fevriere handle one of policing’s most sensitive tasks: returning personal belongings to the family of a deceased victim. Later, detective Nick stops by custody with a much less important delivery – a very specific sandwich order for PC Skerritt, who affectionately calls him her ‘work son’.

Out on the west of the island, PC Rajiv Bailey and PC Krislyn Lambert investigate a car that has crashed and been abandoned in the doctor's surgery car park. What starts as a possible crime turns into a welfare case as they try to track down who the elderly driver is, find his family and work out the circumstances of how the crash was caused.

Meanwhile, PC Hugo Benziger teams up with coastguards Matt Powell and Matthew Stephens for a day on the water. It’s all smooth sailing until one skipper tries to dodge an inspection. He doesn’t get far, as the team stops the vessel, checks the safety kit and issues an instant fine for failing essential water-fairing requirements.
