Episode 8
A suspicious package leads to the arrest of a man at the cruise ship terminal. Plus a double bike collision involving two sets of tourists and a medical emergency at a street festival.
At Dockyard, customs officer Angela Simmons spots a traveller carrying illegal substances, a small packet of white powder and a THC vape. PCs Tyler Kendall and Jameelah Sabir take him into custody, while his family is removed from the ship. With the substances sent for testing, the tourist is left missing his family holiday and spending his first night in Bermuda in a police cell.
In the west of the island, PC Jason Ming, PC Rajiv Bailey and PC Deforest Evans race to the scene of a collision involving two American tourists, whose rental scooter has overturned on a busy road. The couple escape with only minor injuries, but just as the officers start gathering details, a call comes in on the radio. Another set of cruise ship tourists has crashed while trying to reach their friends in the first group. With both sets of shaken holidaymakers sporting some Bermuda road rash, the officers spring into action. Can they get everyone patched up and back to the cruise ship before it departs?
Later in Hamilton, thousands fill the streets for Harbour Nights, Bermuda鈥檚 weekly summer festival. Reserve Officers Sal Bartoletti, Illidio Francisco and Officer Sherry Tucker manage traffic, monitor parking and help revellers as the waterfront becomes busy. Keeping the flow of the crowd through the parked scooters steady and preventing minor issues from escalating are top priority.
PC Miss Carol Skerritt also joins Officer Sherry as paramedics are called to a young dancer who falls ill, but helping to get the emergency ambulance through the congested crowd will take team effort from the police.
