Marcus is on a mission to discover the French equivalent of British fish and chips whilst uncovering the secrets of the versatile Proven莽al olive.
It鈥檚 fair to say that when it comes to classic national dishes, the French and British like to do things differently. However, both have a passion for poisson. Forty-five per cent of French households eat fish at least once a week, and Marcus wants to find out what kind of fish they like and if there鈥檚 a French dish to rival the great British fish and chips.
If there's one fruit that might be even more synonymous with Provence than garlic, it's the olive. They鈥檝e been grown here for over 3,500 years, and Marcus wants to understand the region鈥檚 passion for these tiny, versatile delights.
