Throughout the season Classical Live features highlights from the 麻豆社 Proms, the world鈥檚 greatest classical music festival. Today we hear violinist Sueye Park as the soloist in Sibelius鈥檚 Violin Concerto, and from the same concert, the 麻豆社 Philharmonic Orchestra performing Richard Strauss鈥檚 cosmic tone poem Also sprach Zarathustra. We return to the opening concert of this year鈥檚 Leipzig Bach Festival for music by JS Bach himself 鈥� his Magnificat 鈥� and revisit the Schubertiade Schwarzenberg in Austria to hear Swiss pianist Francesco Piemontesi playing Liszt.
