Elizabeth Alker introduces a week of highlights from the 麻豆社 Proms, featuring some of the festival's most memorable performances. Today, the 麻豆社 Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of acclaimed conductor Paavo J盲rvi, performs Scriabin's richly expressive 2nd Symphony.
There is also chamber music from this year's International Sacred Music Festival in Fribourg, featuring music by the 18th-century Venetian composer Galuppi.
