It’s a tale of two teams as one races around the stalls to bag their buys, while another saves all their shopping until the last minute.
Eric Knowles talks to guitar enthusiast Martin Waugh about his impressive collection of rare and valuable instruments. Martin has gigged with some of the biggest names in pop music, and in this episode, he explains his knowledge and lifelong passion for the electric guitar. There’s even an impromptu rendition of the show's theme tune on his beloved Fender Stratocaster!
But there’s no time for an encore, as two teams are ready to go antique-shopping with their experts. In red are friends Ranjit and Paula with Nick Hall. Married couple Kate and Sam are in blue with Izzie Balmer. With 60 minutes on the clock, the reds consider their first possible move – an expensive Victorian games compendium! Meanwhile, Sam gets in a spin over a quirky metal globe, but Izzie thinks it’s a bit dull. At the auction in Etwall, Derbyshire, there’s fighting talk when one expert reckons their team is born to bargain-hunt.
