Linton Stephens celebrates summer music-making in the UK and beyond.
All summer we’re in residence at the Royal Albert Hall for highlights from the Â鶹Éç Proms. Today there’s a double helping of Mozart from the Academy of St Martin in the Fields: the ‘Haffner’ Symphony No. 35 and the Horn Concerto No. 3 played by the brilliant Felix Klieser. And we return to the elegant Pittville Pump Rooms to hear more from Radio 3’s New Generation Artists at this year’s Cheltenham Music Festival. Today, clarinettist Oleg Shebeta-Dragan plays music by Paul Juon, and there’s Fauré from violinist Hana Chang.
