Worldbuilding

Elizabeth Alker with a late-night journey through new music from today鈥檚 most exciting genre-defying artists. This week: Thorn Wytch, Ibukun Sunday and Keeley Forsyth.

Elizabeth Alker shares a selection of fresh music from genre-defying artists. This week Elizabeth brings us sounds of the forest courtesy of Lancashire composer Thorn Wytch, who makes bowed strings, flutes and percussion from trees and transforms to produce extraordinary sound worlds; plus, more music from Ibukun Sunday鈥檚 new album which explores the silence at the heart of worship through an ambient twist on West African rhythms; and a 鈥榮ilent bat rave鈥 from Tommy Pearson and Hanna Tuulikki whose collaboration merges bat echolocation and the human voice.
