Gilles shares a fiery session from Mercury Prize nominees Knats, who recorded new exclusive tracks specially for the show. Liam from corto.alto joins Gilles in the studio.
Gilles presents a fierce Geordie Jazz session from Mercury Prize nominated quintet Knats, who recorded three never-heard-before tracks specially for the show.
We also hear from bandleaders and best mates King David-Ike Elechi and Stan Woodward, and the group鈥檚 latest addition, poet Cooper Robson, about growing up in the north of England, their commitment to community, and making music that offers an alternative narrative on working class struggles.
Elsewhere in the show, Liam Shortall from corto.alto joins Gilles into the studio for a chat about his new album Some Small Fortune.
Last but not least, Gilles speaks with prolific electronic music producer, label owner and remixer Martin Eveson aka Atjazz about his lifelong career in music - from his beginnings making music for videogames to establishing himself as one of the most respected voices in the scene from the 90s onwards.
