Mark speaks to guitarist and singer Martin Simpson about his new record, Some Kind of Jubilee.

The album marks 50 years since the release of Martin's 1976 debut, Golden Vanity. The new record was partly recorded in Jackson Browne's Santa Monica studio and features pedal steel by Greg Leisz. Greg's CV includes stints with Joni Mitchell and Bob Dylan.

Earlier this summer, Martin wrote a powerful new song for Radio 2's 21st Century Folk. He talks to Mark about that experience, and the stories behind the songs on his own record.
