Kathryn Tickell presents the best in folk and roots-based music from around the world including a track from the latest album by London-based band Kefaya and singer Elaha Soroor, where Afghan folk meets psychedelic rock, post punk, jazz and electronics. Plus a take on the traditional Foxhunter鈥檚 Reel from nine-piece avant-folk band Shovel Dance Collective, and a track from a new collection of works by Teodros Makonnen, whose electric organ helped shape the direction of music in 1980s Ethiopia.
