Alex Humphreys brings you an afternoon of exclusive music-making including a live concert from London's Wigmore Hall and highlights from this summer's East Neuk Festival. Mark Padmore and Jonathan Biss explore a carefully chosen program of songs by Schubert and Schumann. Their performance brings out the emotional depth and contrasts of the music alongside the richness and meaning of the poetry.

From the East Neuk Festival in Scotland, the celebrated Calidore Quartet perform chamber music by Schubert.

Elsewhere in the program, we hear music from the Baltic Sea Festival, an annual classical music festival held in Stockholm which brings together leading orchestras, conductors and musicians from around the Baltic Sea and beyond. Today鈥檚 selection opens with a contemporary work by Molly Kien, followed by two expressive works by Monteverdi and finally Dvo艡谩k鈥檚 lively Slavonic Dance No. 2.
