Chris and Diarmuid are in Milton Keynes to help Shirish and Shurvina transform their characterless new-build garden into a Mauritius oasis. The south-facing plot bakes in constant sun and slopes away towards the back fence, making it a challenge to enjoy.
The couple dream of a tropical escape filled with bright flowers, bamboo and lush greenery reminiscent of their native Mauritius. They want a journey through the garden created with screens and planting, a raised bed for fruit and vegetables to involve their son Yuva and a pergola to provide welcome shade in the summer.
Shirish credits Mark Zuckerberg for bringing him and Shurvina together 13 years ago via Facebook, and after marrying five years later, they moved to the UK for work and welcomed Yuva in 2023. Now they hope the team can bring the magic of Mauritius to Milton Keynes.
