The National Youth Choir of Scotland (NYCOS) marks its 30th anniversary with the 麻豆社 Scottish Symphony Orchestra, conducted by its founder and Artistic Director Christopher Bell.

Their celebration concert from the Usher Hall in Edinburgh features Carl Orff鈥檚 highly dramatic twentieth century cantata, 'Carmina Burana', whose opening and closing chorus 'O Fortuna' is one of the best known moments in classical music. In the first half, NYCOS perform the broadcast premiere of Jay Capperauld鈥檚 'The World' for unaccompanied choir, a setting of texts by Robert Louis Stevenson and Niall Campbell, followed by Jonathan Dove鈥檚 song cycle 'The Passing of the Year', a hommage to nature in a specially orchestrated version.
