105. Alan: Faithful or Traitor? Usha's Verdict
Claudia Hammond meets Souad Faress, who plays Usha Franks. We discuss how Ambridge residents are memorialised, if there is a traitor in the village, and George's year post-prison.
Claudia Hammond is joined by Souad Faress, who plays Usha Franks, to discuss Alan's latest sticky situation, and Martha Kearney and guests give their verdict on whether Alan is faithful or a traitor. We share spookily accurate theories sent in by listeners who predicted Carol's final actions.
In the week of Carol's nature-based funeral, Claire Horton, Director General of the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, considers how characters are memorialised in The Archers.
Jake Phillips, Associate Professor of Criminology at the University of Cambridge, reflects on George's life one year on from his prison release. Is he a reformed character? Could any of his antics over the last year have sent him back inside?
And we hear suggestions to help pregnant Kirsty to find a name ahead of her baby's arrival, with inspiration from nature - and Sweden.
