'Songs of Innocence and Experience' by William Blake (introduction)
William Blake believed there were two 鈥榗ontrary states鈥� to the human soul 鈥� innocence and experience. He explored this philosophy in his famous collection of poems, 'Songs of Innocence and of Experience鈥�. The 鈥楽ongs of Experience鈥� deal with harsh realities that the world, whilst the 鈥楽ongs of Innocence鈥� deal with lighter, untainted world of childhood.
