Tim Smith sits in for Phil again this week, kicking off the show with music and local memories in ‘Hits and Headlines’. Can you guess the mystery year when Austin Rover changed its name to The Rover Group, The Oxford Cheetahs speedway team won the British League title, and Blenheim Palace gardens and park were designated as a World Heritage Site?

After 10 we’ll catch up with Jo Thoenes at the Flog It valuation day at the Oxford Union and we find out about a charity therapy taster day in Witney. Plus there’s another brain teaser with ‘The Riddle’ and the children of Carswell Primary School in Abingdon sing us the first in Â鶹Éç Radio Oxford’s series of Christmas Carols.

In the final hour, Tim will be chatting with Joe Pasquale, we’ll have a bit of Motown Magic, Jo will report live from The Big Stitch event at the Ashmolean Museum and we’ll have the weekends TV highlights for you with David Brown from The Radio Times.
