Alternative ways of fighting gangs, drugs and antisocial behaviour in Nottingham is the idea behind a police scheme which has seen plain clothed officers regularly spending time in an inner-city youth group. Gary Godden, the head of Nottingham's black police association, spends an evening a week at the Take One community recording studio building relationships with young people considered to be at risk of being on the wrong side of the law.
