This month's sessions were recorded at the Jailhouse in Hereford, which has been supporting live music since many of the bands that play there were wearing nappies!

The venue has been known on the national circuit for its Spunky happy hardcore nights and has, in recent years, started championing lots of artists from the world of drum & bass including Wilkinson, who played there last month.

Re-Con in Great Malvern closes

One of the busiest music venues in our areaÌýclosed its doors for the final time last night - just two years after it reopened.

Re-Con in Great Malvern announced late this week it would cease trading in the early hours of this morning.
Ìý
Neil Collins - who runs Midland Audio, the Colwall Family Music Festival and various open mic nights - took over the venue in November 2012 after an online petition called for it to be reinstated as a music venue.

The Malvern Hills Conservative Club in Church Street was originally shut in 2005 because of financial difficulties.

Our next recording session takes place on Sunday 2 February at and features four acts who we've been playing on Âé¶¹Éç Hereford & Worcester.

It's free to get in - and this is your chance to see how we capture live music on tape, while being able to enjoy some of the hottest new acts we've got in our area right now.

None of these artists knew they were being considered for a live session - they were chosen based on the tracks they uploaded to us.

Doors open at 2pm - but you're more than welcome to turn up anytime until 6pm.

If you're a budding solo artist, an MC, or just started a brand new band then you should check out Âé¶¹Éç Introducing Musicians' Masterclasses.

On Thursday 21 March, we visited various locations across the UK - Glasgow, Belfast, London, Salford & Cardiff. DJs from all over Âé¶¹Éç Radio, music industry experts and artists got together to host a day of sessions, workshops and masterclasses.

On the guestlist at Maida Vale were Worcester's , Malvern's , Bromyard's , Droitwich's and Bewdley's .

Invited to Hoddinott Hall in Cardiff were Hereford's , Kidderminster's and man-of-many-Worcester-bands .

We covered everything from song writing & MC workshops to promoting your music & making the most of your Twitter accounts.

We also heard from successful artists about their own musical journeys. Our special guests included Ben Howard, Aluna George, Wretch 32, Devlin, Angel, Japanese Popstars, Phil Kieran, Badly Drawn Boy and the Manic Street Preachers.

This week, we head to Glasgow where guests included Jon Mclldowie (Festival Republic), Paddy Glasgow (Glasgowbury), Nick Burgess (Virgin Records) and Rigsy, real name David O'Reilly (Across The Line).
