The School in the Cloud – India’s innovative new way of educating children
Have we been getting it wrong when it comes to teaching children? Sugata Mitra's work certainly suggests so. He's the professor of educational technology who 15 years ago installed a computer in a hole in a wall in a Delhi slum and allowed the local children free access. Even without a formal education they got to grips with it in no time. Since then, Professor Mitra's been watching other groups of children teaching themselves with some remarkable results. He's now launching a whole school in Delhi based on his ideas, called the School in the Cloud.
