North Korea’s Kim wins ‘100% approval’ in election
North Korea’s leader, Kim Jong-un, has been elected to the country’s highest legislative body with the unanimous support of everyone in his district, state media reports. There were no other opponents on the ballot sheet, turnout was 100%, as was approval. So what do the elections actually tell us about the secretive nation?
