Putin says Crimea an ‘inseparable’ part of Russia
President Vladimir Putin has told Russia's parliament that Crimea has "always been part of Russia", shortly before signing an agreement formalising the region’s absorption into Russia. The move has been widely criticised by Western powers, but Mr Putin accused them of double standards, citing their support for Kosovo breaking away from Serbia.
