The Deputy Prime Minister has defended comments made by the Prince of Wales.

Speaking to 5 live Breakfast, Nick Clegg said 鈥淚 certainly support his right to speak freely, particularly in conversations which he thinks are private. I don鈥檛 think we should expect people in the royal family to not have views. I think that鈥檚 wholly unrealistic.鈥�

The Liberal Democrat leader defended Prince Charles after it was revealed he compared the Russian president, Vladimir Putin, to Adolf Hitler.
