The award winning Syrian composer and pianist, Malek Jandali, has been a vocal opponent of President Assad and a champion of human rights in his home country. He has recorded a new album to raise money for Syrian children and in doing so has become the first Arab composer to record with London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra. The Â鶹Éç's Leana Hosea went to meet him.
