Edwyn Collins: I fought for life and sanity after stroke
Musician Edwyn Collins says he "fought" for his life and sanity after suffering a stroke in 2005.
The 'A Girl Like You' singer had two brain haemorrhages and then contracted MRSA, leaving him without the ability, initially, to speak, read, write, laugh, walk or feed himself.
Since his stroke, filmmakers Edward Lovelace and James Hall have released a documentary following Edywn's recovery, called 'The Possibilites are Endless'.
Collins, 55, told 5 live that his partner Grace Maxwell, who joined him on Afternoon Edition, helped him not to give up hope and "persevere".
