Bake of the Day 鈥� Cheese & Potato Pie
Ingredients:
听
3lb floury potatoes
12oz medium or mature cheddar cheese grated
12oz bacon, grilled and chopped into inch pieces
1 onion, chopped and fried
Milk & butter to taste
Seasoning

Method:
听
1.听听听听 Preheat oven to 200C, 180C fan, gas 5
Peel & boil potatoes until ready to mash
2.听听听 Mash the potatoes, add milk, butter,听 onion, bacon, 10oz grated cheese , seasoning and mix all together
3.听听听 Put this into a buttered oven-proof dish (I use a lasagne dish) & level, forking over for texture
4.听听听 Sprinkle over the remaining cheese
5.听听听 Bake in the oven for about half an hour until crisp and golden
6.听听听 Serve hot with baked beans, roasted tomatoes or veg
听
Veggie variation: use mushrooms instead of bacon & fry them with the onions
听
