Ebola survivor: I overheard medics discuss my burial
A Liberian doctor who contracted Ebola says he was so close to death that he overheard medics discussing plans for his burial.
Dr Philip Zochonis Ireland said he was on 鈥渄eath鈥檚 bed鈥 and "gasping" for air when he was rushed to hospital.
He said, 鈥淪ome of the clinicians thought I was going to die. I overheard them talking at one point whether I should be taken with the burial team or go to cremation鈥.
So far, the Ebola virus has claimed around 7,000 lives during the current epidemic in West Africa.
