Week of 'sustained pressure' for A&E units
Suzanne Rankin, chief executive of Ashford and St Peter's Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, spoke to Today's Sarah Montague of the 'extraordinary times'; there has been a 7% increase in attendance at the A&E unit, and a 15% increase in admissions.
She said that there was a need to 'work together as a system of professionals' in order to maintain the safety of patients.
